So Yeah... I'm Back.
A funny thing happens when you step away for a bit. You don't mean to disappear. You just blink. One project turns into three, life does that thing where it rearranges the furniture when you're not looking, and suddenly a couple of years have gone by and the lights at Harvey's Comics are off.
Well, not anymore.
Harvey's Comics is officially dusted off, plugged back in, and making noise again. If you're new here, welcome. If you've been around since the before-times, welcome back. The shelves are heavier now, the stacks are taller, and the ambition is... let's call it "appropriately unhinged."
Here's the deal. I'm sitting on roughly 20,000 comic books. Not a typo. Not a fun exaggeration. Actual zeroes. Real paper. Ink. Staples. The smell of old shops and bad decisions and good stories. I've spent years collecting, buying, trading, rescuing, and occasionally wondering if I should have taken up something simpler. Like falconry.
So we're starting simple.
Right now, Harvey's Comics is rolling out mystery boxes. Curated chaos. Grab bags with intent. These are real comics, pulled by a guy who actually loves them and still gets a little thrill when he cracks a fresh box. If you like surprises, this is your lane.
I do have about 70 books of varying interest floating around on eBay at the moment, but that's just chum in the water. eBay is going to become the home for higher-ticket items soon. Y'know, the stuff that makes collectors lean forward in their chair. For now, the website is where the action is.
And yes, this blog is part of that reboot.
I'm not here to pretend this is a press release or a corporate content calendar. This is where I'll talk comics, collecting, weird finds, market nonsense, personal favorites, and occasionally wander off into a story that only barely loops back around to the point. You've been warned.
Inventory will be added regularly. Constantly, even. If you're hunting for something specific, a run, a character, a random issue you loved as a kid and can't remember the number of, reach out. Seriously. I can't list 20,000 books all at once, but I can absolutely dig.
If you're local, that's even better. Local pickup is available from my warehouse here in Fort Worth, Texas. No shipping anxiety or porch pirates, just comics changing hands the old-fashioned way.
It's almost 3am... I should probably get some sleep.
So yeah. I'm back. The lights are on and the boxes are open. Let's see what we find.
